Facebook Provides Preview of Changes to Pages
As mentioned already on the 23rd of August 2010 Facebook will be removing the box tab from Pages and also reducing the tabs width from 720 pixels to 520 pixels. This is a major change from the format and some people believe its due to Facebook trying out new ad formats.

A lot of businesses to date have not made the effort to change any formatting on their custom tabs so to be helpful Facebook is now automatically showing a preview of how the Page will look on the 23rd August so if you use Facebook for Business then read this post!
The lost of 200 pixels is huge and for many applications running within tabs (including our own) a complete re-format of canvas pages is required.
After the madness of having to purchase .CO domain’s for our businesses for brand protection and now this I wish technology would slow down a bit! This change is just another reason why you should never have your entire online business running within social networks without a core website you own to drive traffic back to. You are very much at the mercy of the owners whims.
