Clear Signs It’s Time to Move Office

When you have been running a business for some time and it grows to a certain size, you will eventually outgrow your current workspace. However, deciding when is the right time to move can be a challenge. After all, you want to get the most out of your current premises before you up sticks and move on. Your new office should be there to help facilitate your growth and allow you to advance your business to the next level. Here are just a few of the clearest signs that it is time to switch offices.
You Are Working on Top of One Another
The first and most obvious sign is that you don’t currently have enough space to house you and your staff members comfortably. However, you should ensure that you have got the most out of your current premises before you move on. When you are looking for a new place to work, make sure that you have taken into account your company’s growth plans as you should ideally look for a place that you can grow into that fits within your budget.
You Can’t Organise Departments Properly
Even if you think that you have enough space, you may not be able to arrange your business in the ways that you would like. You may be looking for a space that has some more clearly defined zones so that you are able to grow in the way that adds more departments. Perhaps your current layout doesn’t allow for the east communication that you are after. Whatever the case, if your current office is impairing business function, it may well be time to look elsewhere.
You Want to Impress Prospective Clients
You may be sick of inviting clients round to your home or holding meetings around a cramped table in a tiny office. The way your office looks says a lot about your company. If a basic improvement job isn’t going to do the trick, you may want to move to an office which allows you to create the company that you has always dreamed of.
Your Location is Holding You Back
The address of your office could be the thing that is damaging your chances of growth. Perhaps you are in the middle of the countryside and the lack of high-speed internet means that you need to undertake an IT relocation project. Maybe you are looking for a place that has a higher footfall so you can draw in potential clients. It could be that you want access to a wider pool of talent by moving into the city centre. Whatever the case, you shouldn’t let your business location be the thing that holds you back.
There comes a time in the life of any business that you need to move office to give your business the shot at the growth that it needs. These are just a few of the signs which could be telling you that now is that time.
