Growing Need for HIM Professionals in Philadelphia

In the United States as a whole, it is estimated that there will be between 12,000 and 50,000 new jobs available for HIM professionals by the end of 2017.  Unfortunately, the number of students graduating from an online health information management degree is decreasing, and this is going to lead to problems in the sector.  It is hoped that more Philadelphia students will consider taking an online HIM degree to help combat the problem.

Those who do graduate with a bachelors in health information management don’t necessarily need to work in a hospital.  There are jobs available with the government, in schools, in businesses, and in private healthcare clinics.  Those who do work in the industry find it to be exciting, too, due to being at the forefront of the latest healthcare tech developments.
