If you’re a fan of Gawker or Jezebel you will no doubt have read the articles on Michael Brutsch who was publicly outed as the infamous VIOLENTACREZ – the number 1 troll on Reddit.com.

Opinion is divided as to whether trolls should be exposed in public as there will always be collateral damage to their families but the fact remains that trolls should watch out as there are people who have had enough of the damage they cause.

A case in point is Anonymous’ outing of the alleged sexual predator who bullied 15-year-old Amanda Todd to death and the http://predditors.tumblr.com/ site that is setup to expose the users of Reddit’s r/CreepShots forum where people around the world post pictures of girls in public, un-ware that some creep has just taken a pic of their underwear while they are walking up steps or bending over to pickup something.

So why is this information on a business blog?

Its to show you that there is now no separation between your personal life and your business life. What you do online in the privacy of your home does impact on your family and your business career.

Michael Brutsch was fired from his job a few days after Gawker published the outing but his families pain does not end there as his private contact details have been posted and now he receives death threats – not to mention his future job prospects are very slim indeed.
