PRESS RELEASE –

After 13 months of planning and production, including eight months of Beta testing with a handful of high profile clients, the New Zealand based Showcase app has launched to a market of millions of business users of iPads and Android tablets all over the world.

Showcase is a business tool for marketers and sales teams, who see a need for high impact technology support for their company representatives. It enables marketers to use their existing collateral including brochures, videos, photos, Word documents and PowerPoint decks to effectively build their own branded app, and keep it updated.

“Showcase solves several big problems,” says Adam Blackwell, VP of Marketing for Showcase Software Limited. “The biggest one is around keeping information for your sales team current. When companies rely on the remote team to extract the latest documents or presentations from an FTP or a shared drive, it simply doesn’t work. Showcase solves that. It means that all information the sales person has at their disposal is always current. Marketing controls the updates; sales teams simply accept the latest version of their Showcase app on their device … and the update is completed.

“The other big issue is keeping information organised and on brand. Showcase apps look like the company they represent. It is a beautiful way of creating an app, without needing an app developer to do it. The savings are instant and measurable.”

Some early adopters of Showcase include Z Energy and Hyundai New Zealand.

Z is using Showcase to communicate marketing programmes and training modules to its retail team nationwide. “Showcase is a fast way of getting our information out there efficiently, professionally and in an engaging format,” says Richard Barker of Z Energy.

Hyundai has taken their use of Showcase to the next level, including a ‘kiosk mode’ that gives their customers the ability to browse brochures, TVCs and other documents while they are in a Hyundai showroom, while a secure access point provides training and company information for Hyundai’s Dealer network. “Showcase has revolutionised our communication methods with our dealers and consumers,” says Sarah Jennings, Future Customer Manager at Hyundai New Zealand. “It provides us with a smart, simple and interactive platform to provide relevant and up-to-date content to our audiences.”

A recent study by Dimension Research in the US indicated that while 78% of employers planned to deploy tablets to their sales force (85% iPads), over half had no strategy around exactly how they would use them. Apart from being a comprehensive content management tool, Showcase offers analytics and sharing functionality, as well as CRM integration. It addresses the main issues companies face in content control with an incredibly easy to use web based application.

Showcase is available from the Apple App Store for free; activation can be made through showcaseworkshop.com where customised apps are built and deployed to the Showcase enabled iPads.
