How I increased my energy levels by 100%, lost most of my fat and did not diet

I would not call that excessive but my doctor did raise one eyebrow when I told her, which is a good indication that she is not happy but not concerned yet. Raising two eyebrows is when it gets serious.

I am not offering you a dodgy product that does not work – what I am going to do is tell you how I got a massive energy boost and stripped the fat off my body and felt much better than I had for years.

For the last year I have been struggling to stay a wake after dinner which really annoyed me as this is the time I catch up on my hobbies which mostly involves blogging and being nerdy.

Before my discovery I would have dinner then promptly fall asleep on the coach. First I thought it was my diet but I fell asleep with just a salad and no mixing of carbs with protein. I also felt sluggish in the morning and only starting moving after 3 coffees.

My body also kept a few fat stores mainly around my chest and stomach which I could not budge no matter how much exercise I did.

So having a good look at what I did each day I finally decided to drop alcohol from my routine.

Like most people I would have a glass or two of wine or a bottle of good beer after work. In the weekends the intake amount would double.

I would not call that excessive but my doctor did raise one eyebrow when I told her, which is a good indication that she is not happy but not concerned yet. Raising two eyebrows is when it gets serious.

Deciding to drop alcohol for me was scary. I was wondering how I would survive, would I starting doing lines on the glass table to fill the void? Would I become a recluse scared to venture into a restaurant or pub?

So I decided to only have a couple of glasses of wine in the weekend and not drink during the week. At least I could reward myself for good behaviour. We occasionally go out at night so if we did I would have a glass a wine or a beer but then I could not drink either Saturday or Sunday to make up.

The first week was hard but even on the first night of not drinking alcohol I did not fall asleep after dinner! For the first time in quite a while I could get back to my hobbies. This encouraged me to keep going with my plan.

So I am about a month and a bit into this and I feel great! The fat that I could never remove disappeared, my energy came back and amazingly so did a lot of my brain power. I now seem to ‘think’ more and come up with better ideas.

But do you know whats really amazing?

I don’t miss drinking – not one bit. I would never give up this feeling that I have been given back.

I am not even pushing myself to drink in the weekend if I don’t want to.

There is no void – you just drink a glass of juice (no added sugar) instead of a glass of wine – the habit of having a glass in your hand after work is meet.

Give it a go! At the very least you save some $$.

I would be interested in your thoughts on my new discover and what other things have you tried that gave you positive results.
